CrowStar walked into the clearing to find, not what she known, but water, a lot of water; she stared at the water, it wasn't much now but.. soon it could be.

Fleetfoot entered the sheltered clearing cautiously, knowing that the flood could have spread this far already, he had thought that Swiftclan would be safe, protected as they were by the forest, he stopped ears pricked, eyes staring in disbelief at the sight that met them. Water, everywhere, this wasn't possible, this wasn't the clearing he knew so well, he had trained here as an apprentice, there was the tall oak that had sheltered so well from the rain, the group of ferns, now hidden by water, that had used to almost always hide prey...
"Crowstar..."
He greeted his leader with a dip of his flecked head, his gaze flicking to the ever increasing rise in the water, alarm came first, followed by fear, this was soon replaced with calm, the water was high, true, but it was still a long way from the camp, the chances of it reaching all the way up to the pine trees was unlikely...but not impossible.
"The camp should be safe, don't you think?"
He asked cautiously, his tail indicating the water, he gave a small mew as the water rose, he stepped back, shaking his wet paws with disgust, all cats hated water, hated getting wet, it was a fact, it wasn't that he was afraid, he just really, really hated it.
Fleetfoot took another step back as the flood swelled, the whole of Swiftclan territory was on low lying ground, they were in trouble, even if the water didn't reach the camp, then the prey would be hard to come by for at least two moons... He considered the swell of water looking at Crowstar for guidance, everyone looked to their leader in a time of crisis.

"We can't assume anything at this point." She mewed. "Even starclan can't help us now, we need to go back to camp and check on thing, make sure water isn't getting in, we might even have to move to high grounds." She mewed, she was afraid for her clan, the water could probably get in, but who would they turn to? Another clan? Or should they just move altogether? Starclan has to give us a message.

Right, get back to camp, he glanced around at the rapidly rising water, and realized with a creeping sense of horror, that this was easier said than done, the water had formed a natural barrier between them and the camp, the river covered two sides and a clump of rocks the other, they were trapped, considering the situation, the options they had were running out, if they didn't make a move soon, they would never make it to the opposite bank, in fact, judging by the fact that he himself was a poor swimmer, this could be his last newleaf, thank Starclan he could swim!
"We need to move, now! The water!"
He yowled as loud as he could over the sudden rush of water that seemed to be everywhere; the ground was suddenly a lot less substantial. He jerked back from the water, looking around for dry land that was within reach, he waited briefly looking at his leader questioningly, was there another way out? Or would they have to swim for it after all?

"Theres no way out." Crowstar looked around for any chance of hope..she saw a branch of a tree they could probably jump to it to get up. "That branch over there, we could probably jump there." She tried to say over the sounds of the water.

The sound of the water was so loud he barely caught Crowstar's words, he glanced at the branch, it didn't look very sturdy...but it was the only chance they had, glancing around at the water, that even now began to lap at the paws of both of them he nodded towards the branch and howled over the water that was now becoming a torrent, spray flicking up, drenching both of them,
"You first, I'll follow!"
He waited for her to begin the journey, glancing at the water and shifting, shivering with the chill of the ice cold water, he really did hate it.

CrowStar nodded and jumped up onto the branch, she began to fall but caught herself. "Come on, I can see a dry patch, we can get to camp from there."

Fleetfoot watched nervously as Crowstar jumped onto the branch, he gave a small flick of his tail to indicate his relief, before leaping on the swaying branch, reaching the bank, he darted after his leader, eager to get back to the safe and dry camp, but the water was already reaching up past the pine trees, this was even worse than he had feared, he knew that Swiftclan territory was on low lying ground, and Iceclan would be in danger to on their island...he frowned and as he bounded through the undergrowth, already wet with water, he wondered if the clan would be able to pull through.

Crowstar waited for Fleetfoot then dashed to camp.
